I studied languages at university, but all the time was playing with images, colour, shape and the dramas going on between them.
When I could, I started carving Brazilian soapstone. And then, back in England, limestones from beneath the surface of the country.
Necessity and my children meant that I had to go back to teaching for a while, but then I turned back to colours, shapes and what they can do with each other. Painting.
Exhibitions in São Paulo, London, Cambridge and Norwich, of my stone sculptures in the 1990s. Now I'm painting, and showing my pictures when I get the chance.
